Summary

As 2026 comes to a close, Bridges to Change reflects on a year of growth, expanded services, and community impact. CEO Dr. Hannah Studer shares updates on mental health and housing programs, the *Help Us Be There* end-of-year fundraising campaign, and the organization's continued commitment to Health and Housing for All across Oregon.

As we head into the final months of 2026, I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead for Bridges to Change. This year has brought challenges, growth, and new opportunities to strengthen our work across Oregon. Through it all, our commitment remains the same: Health and Housing for All.

At Bridges to Change, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to find stability, experience recovery, and build a healthier future. Here are a few ways we’re bringing that vision to life this fall.

Expanding Access to Care

Mental health, housing, and recovery are deeply connected. As we recognize Hispanic Heritage Month and World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded to create welcoming, inclusive communities where everyone can access the support they need without stigma or unnecessary barriers.

We’re excited to continue expanding our services to meet emerging community needs. In Multnomah County, we’re launching a new Women’s Mental Health Probation program to increase access to behavioral health support for women with chronic mental health conditions.

We’ve also working hard to sustain and expand our women’s housing programs across the state. Women’s services fill a critical gap in housing, peer support, and treatment services for women, and we’re grateful for the resources to continue this important work.

These efforts reflect what we strive to do every day: recognize unmet needs, build strong partnerships, and find ways to ensure people are not left without support.

Help Us Be There

Our end-of-year fundraising campaign, Help Us Be There, is officially underway!

Every day, Bridges to Change provides housing, peer support, treatment, outreach, and welcoming spaces where people can connect with resources and begin moving toward their goals. Our team’s dedication and the generosity of community members who believe in a future where everyone can thrive make these services possible.

Trust isn’t built in a single conversation or one good day. It’s built through showing up, following through, and being there again tomorrow.

At Bridges to Change, we’re here for the long haul: supporting people as they work toward housing, recovery, and well-being.

A gift of $20 helps sustain the work. Help us be there.

Every act of support helps us be there for someone who needs us.

Looking Ahead

As Bridges to Change continues to evolve, we remain grounded in the values that have guided our work for more than two decades: compassion, equity, inclusion, transparency, and integrity.

I’m proud of what we’re building together and grateful to the staff, board, partners, donors, and community members who make this work possible. This fall, we have an opportunity to strengthen our impact, reach more people, and continue creating pathways to health, housing, and lasting change.

Thank you for being part of our community.

With gratitude,

Dr. Hannah Studer
